Germany bans Cruise film shoot

"Germany has barred the makers of a movie about a plot to kill Adolf Hitler from filming at German military sites because its star Tom Cruise is a Scientologist, the Defence Ministry said on Monday.

    This story strikes me as very odd - would the German Defense Ministry really make a decision not to grant access to a historic site for a film based on Tom Cruise's affiliation with Scientology? Weird if true. I guess they could be worried about public image or something, but it hardly seems like a security issue.
