This stinks.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it with these girls. Kate, Bree, Emma. They all keep refusing the protection of the ones that love them so they can "go on their own". Utterly stupid, and not realistic.
I am not one who usually complaines about the lg15 and KM series, but this is getting a little ridiculous.
Oh, and the next time my wife asks me to check out a sound in the night. I am going to say "Why don't you exibit some girl power and check it out yourself, honey. I saw it on the Kate Modern series!"

Very unrealistic. Refusing the help of a friend, male or female, does not exhibit some kind of "girl power".
I wouldn't complain if this was the only time but after bree and emma I am starting to see a trend, and it is silly.

ReplyDeletei think part of girl power or w/e is knowing when not to play the hero. asking for help sometimes shows incredible strength.
however: regarding the trend- i see what you're seeing but i think it's *somewhat* coincidental. bree had to give herself up so she could die and end season 1... emma we're not entirely sure about (she seems awfully suspicious- not just altruistic) and kate's nonsense will probably have some purpose relevant to the plot that we don't know about yet- which probably is similar to why no fans are supposed to go help either.
