Note: This is a heartbreaking story. Please note the internet safety links in the top right of the blog. We may never be able to entirely stop things like this from happening, but we as a community can do our best to be self-monitoring in chat and other discussions.~mm
that is truly terrible story. the mom that let this happen deserves some real punishment.
ReplyDeleteI know maybe not everyone will agree with me, but I don't think she deserves punishment. Yes it is a sick and cruel thing to do, but she had no way of knowing that the girl would kill herself. I also think it's not what will help everyone involved. I think both families need some serious therapy though.
ReplyDeleteI think the key is for everyone to move forward being a lot wiser.
ReplyDeleteIt definately should make everyone think.
Shame on any grownup who would participate in such a cruel trick on a child.

I agree with Modelmotion! But, I see a civil suit in the wringful desth department coming!
ReplyDeleteOops, too much caffeine. I meant "wrongful death"
ReplyDeleteI can't get over how an "adult" would actually do this. Sure this woman had no way of knowing the girl would kill herself, but COME ON! She was 13! You make up some person so you can spy on your daughters "friend"?
ReplyDeleteI can't even begin to understand what would make a person want to do that.
I thought this story was a hoax until I saw it on the news.
