LGPedia Upgrade and Downtime

The LGPedia software is being updated tonight, and there will be some downtime while the new software is installed and the database is integrated. Right now, the plan is to take it down about 12 midnight EST (9 pm PST). The rest of the site should not be effected.

If you find any major bugs after the upgrade, please let me know via e-mail. Thanks!

Added: The 'pedia was down for backup, but the upgrade will take place at a later date as the programmer team talks with the LGPedia staff to get some required info. I'll let folks know when the upgrade will take place.

DJ QtheC Offers Random Fun & Music Tonight- 6-7 PM PST (9-10 PM EST)

BreeFM station manager MicFranXon was kind enough to invite me to try my hand as a DJ, and I think I have the setup working, so will try to run a little show Friday evening, staring at 6pm PST (9 pm EST). I plan to play some good songs from relatively unknown bands including several from this years SXSW festival including Peter Adams And The Nocturnal Collective (rock), Alabama Thunderpussy (metal), Nicole Atkins & the Sea (alt country), and Buttercup (pop).

I'm also going to throw in a few funny sound clips of things I have found on YouTube, and may play a few rounds of "Name that Gunfire" if time allows.

Just an hour this first time out, and not much talking, mostly music or soundclips, so tune in, and be sure to join us in the #BreeFM chatroom on freenode. What I don't get to this time, we'll do another day.

Glenn Rubenstein to BreeFM

Starting wednesday September 26th, Glenn Rubenstein comes aboard to DJ every wednesday night at 8pm PST on BreeFM!

For those who don't know Glenn's background he had the unique experience of being an LG15 fan and going on to become a creative force behind LG15 as a writer, director and story editor for the series.

In addition he created the characters OpaPHid, Tachyon and Brother as part of his original series and alternate reality game OpAphid. More recently he is also responsible for RedEarth and LoFiSyndicate which currently appear along-side his other characters in collaboration with Jeromy Barber and his Maddison Atkins series.

I spoke to Glenn and he is excited to be aboard BreeFM and plans to talk about behind the scenes stuff including a long awaited update on RedEarth. He'll also be playing some really awesome music from his mash-ups and talk about why he chose the songs for them. Also he plans to field some questions from chat.

So tune in to BreeFM every Wednesday night at 8pm PST and get in our chat to talk to Glenn, enjoy the music, and hang.

In celebration of our darlin' Bree, DJ JenniPowell is going to host a two-hour block of her favorite female artists including Sara Bareilles, Nellie McKay, and Alana Stone. She’s also going to try to get an advanced copy of the new CD from Charlyne Yi's (Knocked Up) two-person group (with Paul Rust), The Glass Beef. Yeah, not only is she hilarious, she's a rock-star! What has become of Taylor portrayed by Becki Kregoski?

This isn't an actual article, because I don't really know the story.

As far as I know, (and correct me if I am wrong), the last time we have seen Taylor was in the video Sister to Sister posted Sept 7th on this blog.

I've checked Taylor's YouTube account, soccerstar4ever, and don't see anything new there, although the latest LaResizto video is featured on the channel.

Now, I thought I saw a comment somewhere saying that the actress playing Taylor (here on LGPedia), Becki_Kregoski (here on LGPedia), had quit Lonelygirl15. Does anyone have more information about this rumor?

I don't see anything on LGPedia about a departure on the character or actress pages. And I don't immediately see anything about it on the Lonelygirl15 forums, or here on LG15 Today blog by searching for Taylor: http://lg15today.blogspot.com/search?q=Taylor. There's nothing on the myspace links for the character or actress either (links found on right side of this blog), although the actress myspace is marked private so I could not see much there, and has a most recent login date of today.

If there are some privacy issues involved, we should be sensitive to that, but I think fans would be interested in at least knowing from a story point of view whether Taylor will continue to appear in the series. And if this is just an unfounded rumor, let's clear that up!

I believe this is the first time anyone has heard from Clara (at least in chat) in several weeks.

I happened to be in chat for some of it, but had to leave before the end. I didn't log it, but assumed someone would.

There was some discussion introduced by some users about Dr. T (aka ihavebeenimpure), tuesdayschild, and their nephew Lorne and people requesting Clara's opinion about them, but nothing conclusive there. (OOG, there has been debate about this tuesdayschild ARG as to whether it is gamejacking, but interesting, etc., and a new chat room set up #raplowly)

I typed Mr. T instead of Dr. T by mistake, and made a joke relating Mr. T's haircut to greggallow's and saying "I pity the fool that lives in Nacogdoches." ... but I digress... ;)

Several in #maddison chat were asking Clara questions, trying to push forward on past mysteries (such as questions raised by Dr. T and others) and I know that a video by Zoey (I think)(Edited by GG: It was Ziola Mistress of the crayons idea ) was pointed out to her that asked her to provide contact info for people in Nacogdoches for folks here to start using to investigate - she was not enthusiastic about that idea (sharing other's private info to relative strangers on the internet).

Early on, there was mention of some Adam Lamar editorial in the PineLog, and Clara saying the paper wasn't very good ... not sure of the details about that, but something others could check out perhaps.

Clara talked about continuing to have nightmares, and seemed upset, even cursing at modelmotion (when politely asked whether she still planned to graduate), saying people in chat were either joking around or didn't really care about her, but only "their precious Maddison" ... but also saying perhaps a few people really cared about her. She said Frady was dead, end of story, etc. To this, someone brought up the theft of video tapes from Clara's trunk, saying it could not have been Frady (I'm not sure myself whether it could have been or not - something to check in the timeline of events.)

But it seemed clear that Clara came to the chat room for a reason, even if she was not forthcoming or able to express it directly.

This all resulted in the usual offers to help, some frustration by players over how to engage with the story to move it forward to get some answers, and with some rude joking from one or two sprinkled in. There was also some random stuff like ApotheosisAZ asking Clara what her favorite drink was, and Clara answering Dr. Pepper, saying later she was from Hewitt TX (near Waco), home of the Dr. Pepper Historical Museum (not important, just a detail I happened to remember).

Again, I had to leave the chat before it ended, so if anything interesting happened late in chat, please post a comment.

Valerie Cutko is the actress that plays the role of Michelle Clore in the webseries KateModern.
Valerie began her career in America, playing Rafaella in Grand Hotel on Broadway, working in Alcestis and The Balcony at the American Repertory Theatre, working on Nine and Fanny at the Papermill Playhouse, and Love's Labour's Lost, The Cherry Orchard, and Skin of the Night at the La Mama Experimental Theatre Club. In Europe, she was a featured soloist in Radio Days at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club, and toured in Evita, My Fair Lady, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
She then moved to Britain, and has taken part in roles including Queen of Transylvania in My Fair Lady at the National Theatre and Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Mme. Giry in the national tour of Phantom of the Opera, Nimue in Camelot at the Covent Garden Festival and Martin Charnin’s 9 1/2 Quid Revue at the King’s Head.
She has performed her solo cabaret at London venues including the Jermyn Street Theatre, The Troubadour, Lauderdale House, the Wimbledon Studio Theatre and Montuno’s.
Valerie has since ventured out into movies and television, participating in the female ensemble in 2004's "The Phantom of the Opera" and playing Sofia Robinson on an episode of "The Robinsons".
