    I think this promotion should have been better handled from the beginning. Next time they should hire Hopeful as a consultant.

    Around the post-shoutout twelfth hour mark:

    Subscribers: 409
    Channel Views: 5,149

    Individual video views have raised by at least 300 SINCE last checked (when I posted my blog).

    A "jump" of 300 views on the video & 100 additional subscribers?

    Which is sadder? That these are such low numbers or that this is to be considered a significant increase?

    If the lonelygirl team does not do something soon to save this, it's unlikely that advertisers will continue to toss money their way.

    But at least it will not hurt Kate Modern; It is clear that Bebo and the UK production company know what they are doing, by comparison.

    This IS a significant increase, when you look at it in a 12 hour period!!!

    That was the point of the article, that within 3-12 hours lg15 had the power to turn to double the numbers on subscribers and views.

    You're right anonymous, and I think model hit the nail on the head with his comment. Had the lg15 team handled this in a different way (eg- doing this sooner), I think the numbers would be much much MUCH higher.

    441 subscribers at the moment.

    i wish i had watchyourjack on my channels i watch on tubemogul.com, that would have allowed you to directly track the spike in video views.

    How many subscribers & views did Gemma gain within 3-12 hours of Bree acknowledging her? What was the viewership increase when Jonas was given his first shout out? What about when Jonas mentioned Tachyon?

    The real story is that the power of lonelygirl15 is no longer all that impressive.

    That is not to say that some congratulations are not in order. This 100 subscription increase has helped WatchYourJack finally surpass Lordgreystoke422's total number of subscribers.

    I agree that lonelygirl15 is no longer the powerhouse that it once was but it still has some sway, there's no denying it.

    If you don't think over 200 subscribers in 12 hours is a feat, then you really aren't impressed by much.

    But I'm not trying to convert people to lg15, since I myself criticize and bash them for their mistakes, and have trouble understanding what they're trying to do 99.9% of the time. I just wanted to make a point on what IS happening, and as such what COULD happen in the future if things are done differently.

    And... numbers do not matter in LGS vids... for numbers cannot penetrate the almighty tin foil! ;)
