FROM US, TO YOU
There was a moment of silence in memory of for Scarlette on Monday at 6pm PST/8 Central/9 EST at http://www.lg15.com/lonelygirl15/?p=553 and throughout the entire community.
Just mowse, like Prince or Madonna said....
This poem has always spoke to me when dealing with loss.
I know for many if not all it may be too soon to see her loss this way but I hope in time it might give you comfort.
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Do not stand at my grave and weep is a popular poem, largely considered to be written by Mary Elizabeth Frye (1904-2004), but of disputed origin.
My condolences go out to her closest friends...
ReplyDeleteThough I wish we would have used In Loving Memory rather than RIP. RIP has such a horrible insincere connotation. :(
Believe me, our thoughts are anything but insincere but your point is well taken.
ReplyDeleteI abosolutely love the poem. It's so true, a person will always live on in your memory. I hope Scarlette is in peace now. She will be missed by many.
