    It was kind of weird the way we saw Mallory blogging from Daniel's bedroom, and then there was never a final scene between them - just a passing reference that she left when Daniel and Sarah returned or something.

    I think they purposefully left that story open so that mallory can return in a big way while everyone else assumes that she is gone.
