Has the "embed" code under the video been taken by the 436? By applying an anti-436 force field pulse V9000 was able to send us the code used above. To turn off the auto play change each "autoplay=1" to "autoplay=0".

Sofia's Diary
"On March 15, 2008, Rachel began a new project, where she plays the character Sofia Taylor in "Sofia's Diary" This is an online series which is held on Bebo[2]. The story begins when Sofia finds her (now ex) boyfriend kissing a girl called Trisha. As revenge, she plays a trick on her ex, but it backfired and somehow she managed the set the whole chemistry lab on fire. Doing this got her suspended. Her mum then found some esctasy tablets in her bedroom, so she decided to send her away to London, to live with her dad, his wife and their baby. The series will follow the life of the character Sofia, and Rachel will post blogs as the character, and also post videos on weekdays at 5.30 GMT."

There is an embed code on the video page :D (I couldn't post it here)
ReplyDeleteI mean I couldn't post the code in comments. Blogger wouldn't allow me.
ReplyDeleteIt is still not showing up for me. If its there perhaps another author can add it.
ReplyDeleteI changed it to autoplay=0 (in two places) and that seemed to fix the embed code that someone else copied from Bebo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the code artcgrrl. V9000 had already sent me the code and with a little work it seems to work fine.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else looked at the Bebo page with a Mac computer? That the only variable I can think of for the code not showing up. Be specific as to whether it was an intel or ppc mac.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, v9000 beat me to the punch ;) Glad you got it working.
ReplyDeleteThere is now an LGpedia entry for Sofia's Diary:

Who is the dude with the cross?
ReplyDeleteThis seems interesting, it's more of a online tv show.
ReplyDeleteIt's got potential -- but as its the first episode, there's not much else to say. I mean, I find the pacing of the show to be interesting.
ReplyDeleteJust wonder if every episode is going to be THAT short . . . .
It looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteWe should call "hotboi" Elvis......lol...
ReplyDeleteEr... any one else feel like its COMPLETELY like the UK teen show "GIRLS IN LOVE" from a couple of years back?
ReplyDeleteCould only find a Polish (i think!) dubbed - not great example but you get the drift...

She even had a step-baby to deal with...!

hmmm - I know I shouldn't base this on one episode and a trailer but... It's kinda feeling derivative so far....
Well I see a slight similarity in the use of fade to white in the editing.....but that is not a unique technique.
ReplyDeleteHaving not seen the original series its hard to tell about plot/character similarities but I do not see them in the example provided.
Can you be more specific as to what is derivative?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girls_in_love
ReplyDeleteGirls in Love is an ITV drama series based on the book of the same title (ISBN 0385408048), both created by UK author Jacqueline Wilson that follows the romantic thrills and spills of three teenage girls- Ellie, Magda and Nadine. The show has been running for two series, and has been dubbed by many as the pre-teens version of Sex and the City, exploring the some what weird and wonderful world of boys through the eyes of Ellie Allard, who is played by Olivia Hallinan. She is an artist, and usually portrays her life events in her big bulging sketchbook, which blends the show's live action with animation. She lives with her dad and his girlfriend (later wife) Anna, and her baby brother Eggs. Ellie has had two significant crushes in the course of the past two series- Russell (played by Adam Paul Harvey), in series one, and Darius, from America, in series two (played by Alp Haydar).
Magda (played by Zaraah Abrahams) according to Ellie "goes through boys like I do through takeaway pizzas", she is quite a gossipy, bubbly sort of character, and had a brief fling with Darius in series two. And then there's Nadine (played by Amy Kwolek) who is a goth, and is a budding singer/songwriter but has always had a wildchild reputation about her.
Why should LGPedia have a page on it?
ReplyDeletei cant see the episode its 436ed again
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look bad, but I wanna see some more episodes before I decide if I really gonna follow this or not.
ReplyDeleteI think this show has potential to be interesting, but it's really too early to have a strong opinion.
ReplyDeleteGood catch on the friending of the KM characters on Bebo - perhaps they are hoping for a little cross promotion (sharing of audience) between the shows.
ReplyDeleteI noticed in the first episode of Sofia's Diary and in Kate Modern episodes that characters mention 'Bebo' much like the characters in Quarterlife, so if nothing else, the Bebo site is a common ground between the KM and Sofia's Diary worlds.
