Today was a really big day for Rupert and I felt so excited that he asked me to go along too. Unfortunately before the celebrations could even get started we were interrupted by an uninvited guest.
KM gets a new look "In the name of KateModern"!!!!!!!!
Giles Alderson is a London-based actor who plays Steve in the KateModern video series. He first heard about the series from producer Pete Gibbons, who later introduced him to Gavin Rowe, the director, and Miles Beckett, the producer. They asked him to audition, and decided to cast him as Steve.
Growing up in Harrogate, Yorkshire, Giles played soccer for many years. He was extremely good at it, and ended up getting scouted as a goalkeeper for Bradford City, with whom he played until he dislocated his shoulder playing basketball and lost his confidence. Instead of kicking him out, the school asked him if there was anything else he was good at. After some deliberation, Giles informed them that he was in the school play, leading them to enter him in a performing arts class. Although he did not have any major roles at that time, at the end of the course, Giles had the opportunity to stage his own production. He chose to put on a production of "Bouncers" and realized just how much he loved acting. He decided to pursue it professionally and went on to university, followed by Drama Studio London, to achieve that goal.
Aside from KateModern, Giles has appeared in such films as I Want Candy (trailer), Night Junkies (trailer), A Dying Breed (trailer), Diagnosis: Superstar (trailer), Three Minute Moments (trailer), Anaphylaxis, and L.V.J (trailer). His past TV appearances include "Tricks", "Blackpool", and "50 Ways". His past theater appearances include roles in High Society, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Taming of the Shrew, and The Rocky Horror Show.
Besides acting, Giles also works as a club DJ and has performed in some top London night spots.

Go Steve!!
ReplyDeleteYum. Angry Steve.
ReplyDeleteI friggen love Steve.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Julia will be the next person preaching about her eternal song.
Go Steve Go Steve GO GO GO Stevee!
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean that Julia's going to be joining the Hym and flying off into the sunset with Rupert?
ReplyDeleteBecause that will honestly make my day. My year even!
Uh... was she shooting the bathroom?
ReplyDeleteWow... the acoustics of that room were awful. But goooo steve! :)
Kate Modern gets another A+!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooo very glad that Steve's walking off into the sunset (moonlight?) after the 12in12 wasn't him leaving forever!
I wonder if he knows that Terrence has hacked his Bebo??????
The evolution of Steve's character is one of the most interesting aspects coming out of the KM 12 in 12.
ReplyDeleteThe way he walked away from Charlie saying he knows what he wants to do now, and then his rejection of Rupert and the Hymn of One... really has me wondering what is next? Was he somehow involved in the death of the Watcher we saw Terrence seem to find in the 10:30pm extra video?
I could see Steve trying to found his own 'pure' version of the Hymn of One, or perhaps going rogue to fight the Order to avenge Kate and any other victims.
It's still a little weird though that he was so involved with Terrence at the bunker - I'm not sure Steve is completely innocent, although he is being portrayed that way right now - did he have any involvment or knowledge in what Terrence was doing? Did Steve think he was doing something religious, and only later realize it was just villainy? Will he change his mind and return to Charlie?
Was the Hymn of One celebration a 'live event' and only two or three people showed up? I know Rupert talked about making a speech on Monday during the second video chat session.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the cups on the table were kind of interesting 5-4-3-1, perhaps relating to some hierarchy in the HoO?
ECHHHHOOOOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteAs far as I know it was not a live event and I believe the pple involved were all internal.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this was the actual celebration. Would be sad if only 3 people showed up for it. This were the preparations for the celebration. Rupert saids to that guy that he needs his suit in a hour, so guess it will begin then.
ReplyDeleteSo I feel really proud that I've like Steve all along!
ReplyDeleteI'm a good judge of character!
And Steve is amazing!
