KateModern to Conclude, But Why?
"EQAL president and COO Greg Goodfried did indicate to us last month that the company would be looking to bring its shows’ community experience under its own roof rather than via Bebo and MySpace."

The story we set out to tell in KateModern is almost over… I’m sorry this sucks. This has been a really difficult day.
I love the idea of Meryl Modern though!!! LOL!!!!
Meryl Modern FTW
ReplyDeleteearlier posts spoke of 1.5 million views, etc...
ReplyDeletei don't see where these numbers come from.
doing a quick little poke around on bebo, lg15.com, and youtube, i come up with some paltry numbers.
on bebo, usually less that a dozen comments per video. simple stats will tell us that if even 1% of the viewing audience commented, an average of 1.5 million viewers would... well... let's just say it doesn't add up.
youtube? go back a week or so, and you have 2065 subscribers to the km channel. you get an average of just under 550 views per video.
as for lg15.com... if the dozen or so comments per video are any indication, there are not many people watching.
quite frankly, and i don't mind being proven otherwise, it seems like there are probably under 10, 000 watchers per episode. and that could be generous.
am i missing anything?
if i'm not -- and, again, i didn't dig very deep -- is it any wonder the km series is being cancelled?
heck, i'm always amazed at the smoke and mirrors that are needed to help lg15 garner funding. but this seems even more of a stretch.
