    I wish they would add a bit of edge to their shooting style. The core story ok, it just need to be told/edited in a slightly more progressive way.

    That is probably what it is missing modelmotion.
    You don't quite get the satisfaction of an LG15/KM episode from a Sofia's Diary episode.
