    Modelmotion posted the beginning of a Japanese remake of "Prom Queen." The original version currently has 112 videos on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/user/promqueentv

    (It was originally released on MySpace.)

    I posted the first episode for comparison to the remake.

    I like the Japanese version better, it's more mysterious. Or maybe it's just because Japanese girls in movies always remind me of The Ring and more of those Japanese horror movies.

    The Japanese version is a little more ambiguous in its editing, for better or for worse.

    I know that when I watched Prom Queen--long after it had aired--I struggled to follow some of the subplots without seeing it in realtime. Without all the little character vlogs and blog posts and whatnot, I got lost on some of the smaller details... So maybe the mysteriousity of this Japanese version isn't necessarily a good thing...?
