Do you enjoy solving puzzles?
EDIT: originally posted 6/5/08 ... Here is a reminder in case anyone is interested ... today 6/12/08 is the last day to register for this free online competition! (there are also some puzzles you can try just for fun from past years' competitions, even if you don't want to try competing on Saturday)
The 2008 U.S. Google Puzzle Championships are being held on Saturday June 14, 2008 at 1pm ET.
It's an online event open to everyone, but you must register before June 12.
See the discussion thread on the LG15 forums with notes and links to all the details, and to post your scores for bragging rights after the competition.
Who's up for it?
Not surprisingly, when I looked at the practice test, it made my brain hurt. A lot.
ReplyDeleteI've worked through most of the practice test, and it is not easy at all, and I am taking far too long to solve each problem. I think I'm going to try working through the 2007 test in order to get more practice before the live event.
ReplyDeleteStill, I would encourage anyone interested to try it... some of the puzzles are really clever, and some are just fun (one is finding the differences between two pictures filled with mice running around).
If it weren't my sister's birthday and she'd murder me if I missed it to solve puzzles (she already thinks it takes up too much of my time...sisters just don't understand...), I'd be all over this.
