Wasn't HP one of the sponsors for KateModern?
ReplyDeleteYeah, I think they were. I remember Charlie's laptop being an HP. Then again, I think the exact sponsor was Microsoft Maps or some thing like that...Either way, Guarteed 20,000,000 views? I'll be impressed if they can actually match that.
ReplyDeleteWell they are a syndication company so they could have myspace or bebo or someone big on board to promote it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know but if I correctly understood the concept, their stupid show will just look like a very long commercial break. Immensely boring. "will allow users to click on products for more information"? Yeah, right. I think I'm gonna puke.
ReplyDeleteI think given how tastefully Sony has done Sofia's Diary that is a bit of an over reaction anon. The "Tampax" days of KateModern have long gone and I think everyone has learned that lesson well. I actually want to see what they come up with. It might be fun if done well.
ReplyDeleteOy gevault, the Tampax episode XD I actually had no idea Sony was sponsoring Sofia'S Diary! I've never actually watched more than a handful of episodes, though...
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to branding it seems like companies want an extra level of control so that their products are well represented as a group. Sony has done this really well with Sofia'a Diary and the trend seems to be in that direction.... at least for now.
