ReplyDeleteIf I were a protester getting arrested, I would much rather spend a few hours in that large new facility with actual planning for the expected numbers than have to go to some overcrowded local jail mixed in with the usual suspects - a state of mass confusion (and probable LONG delays).
ReplyDeleteOf course, food, water, medical, and bathroom facilites should be provided as needed, and enough authorities on duty to insure safety, but other than that, I don't see a problem here.
If they are smart, the police will let the media inside the facility to check everything out before and during the event.
So now we cage those who want to express their opinion? So much for the constitution. Oh wait, that was trashed a long time ago. One more step towards a police state.
