    We like Joe's theory that Palin is trait positive because one of the locations on Lucy's google map was an island in Alaska. Coincidence? We think not!!!!

    I just don't think ridiculing one party or the other is fair. I see a lot of Republican bullying on the Internet. Why can't we just respect different opinions? I'm so tired of the immaturity I've seen in ostracizing one party.

    Being a person who appreciates comedy, I have to say that in my opinion, the Republicans have just happened to make more moves that are parody-worthy this election. If they didn't do things that seemed hilarious or worthy of being turned into comedy, they wouldn't be the focus of so many jokes.

    I think joking is fair, BUT I think sometimes on message boards and on the Internet people have begin acting like being a Republican or voting republican is idiotic or ridicule-worthy. It's an ideological difference, not something that makes a person unintelligent. I don't think Republicans should be marginalized on the Internet. (Nor in fact do I think democrats should be).

    Making fun of McCain age or his typing problems due to POW injuries is not funny, just like making fun of Obama's race or family religious background isn't funny. Those are things that aren't mistakes or anything they have control over.

    I just think we should respect each others opinions more and that the jokes and ridicule should be on both candidates fairly OR neither candidate. As a long that doesn't represent just one persons point of view, but a collaboration of different views I do think tolerance is called for.

    I didn't mean to be so long winded, I'm just very passionate about fairness.

    I don't think either group is marginalized, clearly both have big niches of the internet to themselves. Obviously, LG15 is a non-partisan show, but since its audience skews young, which is supporting obama in astronomical proportions historically, we are bound to see some joking around.

    but veela, i agree we should respect each others' opinions. i don't think anyone meant anything that bad in the above comments.

    I don't think anyone meant harm but most of the comments BUT I have seen people who I do think mean harm within the community. This just seemed an avenue to point out that the community was behaving a little unfair and that I worry conservatives or republicans would feel silenced or unwelcomed.

    When I've seen this previously people have encouraged me to make jokes at the Democratic candidates expense, but that's not my style. I think both opinions are valid, just different points of views. Really, for the most part we all want the same thing, we just don't see eye to eye on how to get there.
