Was YouTube Live a Success? That Depends.

ReplyDeleteI think we have to remember that the execs at ABC pulled the plug on "My So Called Life" (although there were some external factors).
The mass media is just that: mass. And we all know the mass market is dead or at least so highly fragmented that it pales in comparison to its hay day.
Now YouTube is the new frontier. I once relied on Fox. Next came the WB. Today the CW is on a role for niche markets but for how long? YouTube has massive potential and what is more it is "community based". Who knows where it will lead but I am definitely on board for the ride.
Hulu and others will certainly be hot competition but competition is what makes us innovate and with Google at the helm let's hope that is exactly what we get.
I can still remember a few people saying that shopping on the internet would not really catch on. 4 REAL!!!!
