Mike Frankson (also known as MicFranXon) is an editor for Redearth88. He became involved with the project after his fan videos caught the eye of Glenn Rubenstein. Mike now helps edit videos for the character of Rachel.
Before the days of YouTube, Mike edited and produced an internet reality series called "The Real Tag," which got the attention of sponsors Tiger/Hasbro in the laser tag world..
After its successful run, Mike started working in radio in NYC, hosting shows based on independent music with a listener share of 4.5 million people. After new ownership came in with a format change, Mike left the show, realizing that he'd accomplished one of his childhood dreams.
In June 2006, Mike found Bree on YouTube and has been an avid follower of lonelygirl15 ever since. In late 2007, Mike decided to combine three things he truly cared about: lonelygirl15, the community and radio. This decision led him to form BreeFM. Currently, he runs the show and invites other members of the community to DJ.
Mike is also a self-taught musician, playing piano and keyboards and recently put his latest collection of compositions online on his new artist page under the name of "Michael's Purpose". Mike was also he PM of Zoeyiswatching.
Mike is proud to be an active member of the LG15/Maddison/Redearth88 community. Mike also portrays Hubby (a parody of Brother) in Lonelyjew15.

They talked about the new Degrassi. There is a video for the new 90210. It looks bad. Perhaps the twist is that they are all unattractive and have poor fashion sense.

From Wikipedia: "Yentl in a 1983 American film directed by and starring Barbra Streisand based on a play by Leah Napolin and Isaac Bashevis Singer, itself based on Singer's short story "Yentl the Yeshiva Boy"."
It is a musical that takes place in the early 1900s. It takes place in a very traditional Jewish community.
Glenn read from Wikipedia, "Barbra Streisand portrays Yentl Mendel, a girl living in an Ashkenazi Jewish community in Poland. The film is set in an era during which women are forbidden to receive an education in Jewish Talmudic Law, but despite this, Yentl is instructed in the teachings by her Rabbi father, Rebbe Mendel (Nehemiah Persoff). Glenn talked to Sara the other day. She is going to have a cameo appearance in the USA TV series Monk in the coming months.
Glenn played "Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and said it is always on in the background of his head. It is really a powerful song lyric. It reminds Mari of the movie " Old School". Glenn said it is the better version of anything Meat Loaf has ever attempted to do.
Mari asked what Meat Loaf would not do? (meaning: "I won't do that.")
The line "Get out of my mind and get into my life" sounds more like a threat. What about "a non stop miracle." The saxaphone did not die until the early 90s. The song was so overplayed in the late 80s. VH1 existed only to play this video.
The 1992-93 version of the most overplayed song was "Tom Cochrane - Life Is A Highway" (even when grunge was popular). They should have a way to punish artists who are this bad. Rudy Giuliani had it as his campaign song which is strange since Tom Cochrane is Canadian. Mari described it as an "audio holocaust'.
Glenn and Mari discussed Foxfest. People who go to Foxfest think Tom Cochrane is lame.
Mari said that Glenn is a total perfectionist.
Mari liked a lot of the older OpAphid stuff. She also really liked the " Remember Me?" video.
Glenn and Mari talked about politics. Mari said she hates the way all the media sources have their own agenda. She wishes it was just facts. There should be a non biased source with non biased information. Glenn said that someone who is President of the USA should be mentally smart. Hillary did not have a plan B after the early primaries. The World will not just give you a "pass". If Glenn had a voting "block" he could exert political power.
Nickelback makes Mari angry. Glenn plaed "Nickelback - How You Remind Me". The dude sounds bummed about something.
Mari liked the movie "Once Bitten " when she was 3 years old and she outlined the plot. One of the characters needed the blood of a virgin to retain her you and beauty. Glenn and Mari talked about Cleavon Little who she once described as a comic genius. They also talked about Karen Kopins.
Glenn and Mari talked about dreams. If a girl tells a guy that she had a dream where they made out how would you respond?
The movies you are into as a child could have an influence on how you grow up. It determines your reference point for things. What if a movie has a questionable message? Glenn does not go on the water because of the movie "Jaws". Is it better to have irrational fears of going in the water rather than messages like in the movie "Once bitten"? Mari said that even though the message was questionable she would never have followed the message of the movie. Glenn said that movies must leave an imprint. When you are a child and you have an acceptance of adult concepts without the other stuff needed to put it on your own context. Where does the responsibility lie?

this, i think, would make a great km farewell. and i hope they are smart enough to use it as such.
sure, postmodern blurring of reality/fiction is a tad old hat in this millenium, but it is a huge thematic leap for the usually thematically-challenged creators.
the important part of km (and lg15) has been the development of the medium. really, the plot has always hinged on the vlogging/vocumentary style of delivery -- even if the dependence on this style has hampered plot development and strained credibility and suspension of belief.
to have gavin walking out sight of the camera -- the sole point of reference for the km/lg15 "reality" -- identifying the drama as nothing but "an internet show," is to have the creators speaking thorugh him, essentially saying "the gigs up. we've created a reality as strong as any other fictional medium, WITH a whole new medium. and that was the purpose of the whole game."
in short, they are summing up the success of the series -- the proving that internet drama can work and is, for now, the next wave in popular entertainment -- by admitting that the medium is the actual story.
leans a bit heavy on the mcluhanism of the mid-sixties, but it serves the purpose quite well.
mcluhan's "the medium is the message," theory is pretty simple.
