W3 know a time is coming when we will not live our lives in fear but in freedom.
With out this hop3, little else matters.
The vile evil that exist in this world must be confronted and removed. If we sit idle, the blood of the innocent will not only be on their hands, but on ours as well.
In the past, Ethan has been through many encounters with the Order, including dying, being restored to life, and changing personalities temporarily to become a murderous Elder named Jason. But for the most part, Ethan has been trying to save girls like Annie (Emma's sister) and Tiffany (a trait-positive girl) from members of the Order such as a woman named Emily. Tiffany has survived several ceremonies in the past and this eventually made her trait negative, and Annie has been kidnapped by the Order a few times and wants to protect Emma.
The 24in24 began at 12:00 AM with the the main character Ethan at home with Tiffany. In the first 12 hours, Ethan's home has been broken into, he interrogated a suspected Watcher, received a private transmission from Annie, went on the road to try to save her, was shot at by someone in another car on the highway but managed to get away, ran out of gas and had to hitch hike, was picked up by a member of the Hymn of One named Crystal who just happened to be going his way, received a coded message from Annie via myspace giving her location, went there and found her murdered in the shower, received a video and text message from Order member Emily who has captured Tiffany, visited live chat to get advice, and has received a video with advice about a tracking bracelet from his friend the kid genius Adam.
I'm pretty impressed with the overall production effort so far. It tells a story, with reasons why things happen, and Ethan's responses to these events make sense, with Ethan trying to prevail not only over the Order, but also over his own flaws, doubts, and mistakes. Even though it is scripted, the improvisation by Ethan gives the blogs a 'real' feeling within the premise. Each video is a little different - there is variety. The video image quality is good, and the audio is easy to understand which is important (I would take bad video with good audio any day). I also like the music, and the fact that there are multiple characters posting videos. All that takes work and attention to detail.
I'm looking forward to the second half of this 24in24. Now, back to the show...
Hey guys, Okay I finnally ended up finding a ride, A woman namd crystal was going to the exact same city asme, but worst turned to worst when i found out she was a member of the hymn. ~Ethan
I eventually out drove the assasins, life on the road is really starting to suck, if that's not enough problems, I'm out of gas, I've got to get a better car... ~Ethan

'Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? Questions we all consider at one time or another in our lives. The more of the answers I learned, the more the questions changed. It was by chance that I discovered the cosmic and the mystical were not so distant to each other, in fact quite the opposite. '
Meet Cato, Austria, and Madeline. The three aspiring runway models of Model.Live. In this episode the executives of IMG Models discuss the potential of each model and the challenges she may face in the coming weeks.
So, with the apparent hoax and revelation the other night that there are TWO webshows called "The Resistance" coming up soon, I did a little trademark search at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website to see how many Resistances there possibly could be. I did find a trademark submission for the non-EQAL Resistance series, but, much more importantly, I also managed to unearth two additional alternate realities for "The Resistance."
Alternate Resistance One.
Check out this mission statement!
Surely, this has to be about Jonas and the anti-Order gang show debuting next month right?
WRONG! This manifesto actually comes from a 1997 "Resistance" newsletter of the "National Smokers Alliance," which took up the heroic fight against smoking bans! Check that logo:
Doesn't that just make you want to go violate some smoking bans? They also had stickers and stuff just like lg15's fight the order campaign.
I mean, who doesn't want stickers featuring a dove taking a drag, whilst riding on a tank and carrying an olive branch. Or is that tobbacco leaves? In any event: WTF?!
After being exposed as a front organization, the National Smokers Alliance and The Resistance was extinguished. Their "Resistance" trademark claim has now been abandoned. The Order, a.k.a., People Who Don't Want Cancer, prevailed.
Alternate Resistance Two.
Now, the second Resistance that I found will not easily be confused with TAAG et al. Its run by an organization called Operation Keepsake, and its trying to protect ALL GIRLS (and guys), not just trait positive ones:
Here's the nifty logo:
Since virginity long went the way of Bree's "purity bond" on lg15, I think we can be assured that this Resistance will not be featured on the new EQAL show.
So, there you go. How many Resistances are there? Get googling, folks!
This mashup and the experience around solving it was one of the most fun and immersive things I had ever been a part of in any Internet venue. It started with Brother uploading a video that Linc had sent him, modified slightly by Brother to include a time clock.
This puzzle led to a phone number. After calling the phone number, the caller was greeted with a music mashup that included these songs:
1: "Ruby" by Tiny Meat 2: "Two Kings" by Spin Doctors 3: "X Is Gonna Give It To Ya" by DMX 4: "O Fortuna" from Camina Burana by Carl Orff 5: "Anthem Park II" by Blink 182 6: "A" by Barenaked Ladies 7: "Aint Nothin But A G Thang" by Snoop Dogg
These songs led to a tiny url, which led to another music mashup. When I first downloaded this second mashup and heard it, I was shocked at the sheer number and length of the mashup. The community set out to start the solve of what was to be one of the most amazing mashups ever.
While we were still trying to get our hands around the mashup, two channel updates appeared. Tachyon was having just as much trouble as we were:
To My "Brother"
WTF? How many different parts are there in that thing?
xoxox,
T
Brother replied:
To My "Sister"
46 songs total.
Still have those headphones that you borrowed from me and never gave back?
xoxox,
10033
To remind those who were there, and also to capture the mood of the moment for everyone else, we had not seen a new Tachyon video yet. In fact, since the Human Ransom, we hadn't heard much from Tachyon. We had a few emails and maybe one other channel update from her, but nothing else. THIS WAS HUGE. We were going to be helping Brother give a message to Tachyon!!!!
So, while still struggling with many of the harder to hear songs, we at least now knew that the mashup contained 46 songs. Someone (I believe it might have been acidfingers, but I apologize if I'm wrong) broke the song into 46 or 47 different music clips at some point so that we could analyze the songs that we were missing at the time. At that point, the entire community spent days and weeks analyzing 2 or 3 second snippets of this mashup.
There were quite a few working on this, so much so that I am not exaggerating when I say the community collectively probably listened to at least 2,000 individual songs trying to match the songs that we were (barely) hearing in 2-3 second clips. Brother had picked some oddball songs, and we had to search far and wide to even try to solve one song for some of them. We could even clearly hear the lyrics to some, but the songs were so little known that no record of their lyrics existed on the Internets. There were other songs that we could not make out the lyrics, so everyone was searching for songs that matched the tone and sound of the songs. It was intense.
Many fans reached out for help during this time, pulling in anyone we could find. Some posted youtube videos calling for whatever backup we could get:
Along the way, Tachyon also replied to PMs, indicating she was also still struggling herself:
Still working at this. I did notice that there is another rap song though between the christian rock and the friends of ICP. Not sure what it is though, but it didn't match any part of the second song (I listened for it).
Also, I believe the song by Kelly Osbourne's former boyfriend's band counts as one song (and not two). So it's still 46 songs total.
And it has to be one message. Unfortunately, key parts are still missing and must be in these last songs. I can kind of make sense of what he is saying, but too much is missing to act on it.
xoxox,
T
Eventually, after about a week and a half of listening to these clips like our lives depended on it, we were down to 40 out of the 46 songs solved, and we could not make headway on the rest. Brother eventually updated his channel to include:
To My "Sister"
A *tiny* nudge toward the right track(s):
244wco
xoxox,
10033
This tiny url led to a 6 song mashup that had the same artists as the songs we were missing from the main mashup. After that, we slowly solved the remaining songs. Here was the result:
1 - 0:03 "Don't Hate Me" by The Get Up Kids 2 - 0:06 "Dirty Little Secret" by All-American Rejects 3 - 0:09 "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce 4 - 0:12 "It Feels Good" by Tony Toni Tone 5 - 0:16 "We're At The Top Of The World" by Juliana Theory 6 - 0:17 "Scenario" by A Tribe Called Quest 7 - 0:20 "This Is Me (Bad Boy Remix)" by Dream feat. P. Diddy and Kain 8 - 0:23 "Am I Ready" by Spitalfield 9 - 0:26 "She Looks At Me" by That Dog 10 - 0:26 "If I Could Talk, I'd Tell You" by The Lemonheads 11 - 0:30 "All The Things She Said" by T.A.T.U. 12 - 0:33 "It's Gonna Be Me" by 'N Sync 13 - 0:37 "Here and Now" by Letters to Cleo 14 - 0:40 "So Help Me God" by DC Talk 15 - 0:40 "I'm That Type Of Guy" by LL Cool J 16 - 0:44 "Work" by Jimmy Eat World 17 - 0:46 "$85 bucks an hour" by Twiztid 18 - 0:53 "New Beginnings" by Finch 19 - 0:59 "Hands Clean" by Alanis Morrisette 20 - 1:01 "No Myth" by Michael Penn 21 - 1:02 "Same Song" by Tupac/Digital Underground 22 - 1:06 "She's Crafty" by the Beastie Boys 23 - 1:08 "Buried Myself Alive" by The Used 24 - 1:11 "Torn in Two" by Wax 25 - 1:15 "I'm A Fool" by American Hi-Fi 26 - 1:20 "All 4 Love" by Color Me Badd 27 - 1:24 "Whats My Age Again" by Blink 182 28 - 1:26 “10 Year Old” by Mc Chris 29 - 1:29 "What Would You Do" by City High 30 - 1:34 "No More Questions" by Eazy-e 31 - 1:41 "Where Is My Mind" by The Pixies 32 - 1:43 "Since You've Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson 33 - 1:49 "This Charming Man" by The Smiths 34 - 1:55 "Fell In Love With A Girl" by The White Stripes 35 - 1:57 "Cool It Now" by New Edition 36 - 2:01 "It Takes Two" by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock 37 - 2:02 "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers 38 - 2:04 "Danger (Been So Long)" by Mystikal 39 - 2:07 "All Downhill From Here" by New Found Glory 40 - 2:11 "Here's Where The Story Ends" by Tin Tin Out/The Sundays 41 - 2:16 "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama 42 - 2:20 "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" by Bowling for Soup 43 - 2:24 "Game Time" by Rascalz 44 - 2:27 "Heros and Villians" by Brian Wilson 45 - 2:29 "Where'd You Go" by Mighty Mighty Bosstones 46 - 2:34 "Prevent This Tragedy" by Alkaline Trio
The community really had a great time over this, and I met many people that I had previously not met due to reach-out efforts and such. Thanks Glenn Rubenstein for making this event what it was. This mashup and the experience around it is still one of the funnest experiences I've had here in this community. Personally, I was recovering from surgery at the time, so instead of resting, like I should have been, I was analyzing 2-3 second clips for the millionth time. It was that much fun!
After this, there was a movement to remove Brother's ipod and any other music listening capability (because the guy was just out of control with his oddball music), but that movement fell flat. :)

According to the website for Stephen King's "N" www.nishere.com :
Master storyteller Stephen King presents a revolutionary new form of entertainment: his short story “N.” brought to vibrant life through a series of 25 graphic video episodes. The original series tells the story of a psychiatrist who falls victim to the same deadly obsession as his patient—an obsession that just might save the world!
Drawn by award-wining comic book artist Alex Maleev, and colored by famed comic book colorist José Villarrubia, the episodes were adapted by Marc Guggenheim, co-creator of the ABC-TV series “Eli Stone” with creative oversight from Stephen King.
I'm not sure I would call the graphic video episode format "revolutionary" (compare to Heroes Graphic Novel animated comics), but with new episodes posted each weekday until August 29th, an embeddable player (below, but go to the website to view larger versions), distribution via CBS Mobile, CBS Interactive and iTunes, and plans for a Stephen King Book version "Just After Sunset" in November 2008 and a Marvel comic book series in 2009, this is an interesting example of a story presented in various media, including online video.
“N.” will be available across the web through the CBS Audience Network, capable of reaching 92% of the U.S based online audience. The CBS Audience Network consists of online partners such as AOL, Microsoft, Yahoo, Comcast, Joost, Bebo, Netvibes, Sling Media and Veoh as well as Web sites from CBS's owned television, radio, and affiliated stations.
NOTE: This is not the new series from Eqal. It is on a YouTube account called "theresistanceseries" and has it's own web site.
The Resistance team is all working hard on releasing the series. We have taken longer than expected because this project quickly snowballed and we are currently trying to figure out the best path for this project. Thanks to all those who has subscribed and continue to wait. We are prepping to shoot the rest of the season so hang tight!!!

Lust TEASER "The Resistance" Webisode Series
"The Resistance" series - Lust Teaser
This is the official sneak peak at "The Resistance" webisode series--a teaser depicting themes of greed prevalent within the storyline.
It's the new action-packed, dramatic webisode series from Director Adrian Picardi. Full episodes premiering soon in early 2008!
Currently, he is working on a webisode series that attempts to capitalize on pure action and drama. It is called "The Resistance" Series and can currently be seen on Youtube as well as a host of other online viral video networks. It aims to launch Summer 2008.
The video above appears to have been copied to the "eqaltesting" account from a different account on youtube that hosts a web series called "The Resistance". We assume that the creation of "eqaltesting" was part of a hoax.
josh said... this is for a different series altogether that's also called 'the resistance.' you can check out all the trailers here:
This article was written live during the show. As such it may contain significant factual errors. Over time it is hoped that these will be corrected.
Glenn watched High School Musical 2. PJ had mentioned how the phrase "What Time Is It" has been ruined by High School Musical 2. It is actually similar to the Tachyon theme. It came out summer of last year but who knows when it was written. The original was downloaded a lot from mp3.com and a lot of people probably heard it on Lonelygirl15.
Glenn then performed a live mix:
Glenn - August 20 2008 - GlennFM Mix-Up (Live and In Progress)
followed by a remix of "What Time Is It"
Glenn - What Time Is It? (High School Musical Remix)
Glenn has a big day tomorrow so he has to wrap up the show. Mashable is having a get together tomorrow night so he is going to network with people in the bay area. He has to prepare some stuff during the day.
Here is the archive of of stories from LG15 TODAY concerning Glenn's radio show on BreeFM.

From Wikipedia: Lifesblood is the debut EP by Mastodon. The sample at the beginning of "Shadows That Move" is from the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The sample at the beginning of "Hail to Fire" is from the autobiographical film The Dancin' Outlaw by Jesco "Jesse" White. The samples at the beginning of "We Built This Come Death" and "Battle at Sea" are believed to be taken from recordings of the Nuremberg Trials. Since this album was only printed for a limited time, it has become quite rare and sought after by Mastodon fans. The limited prints come in a variety of colors, each with a certain amount produced; 100 clear, 500 red, 500 black and a second press of 500 blue and black. The EP was also re-released in September 2004 by Relapse Records.
(Note: This is an older MessyNessy video but it was chosen to be featured on LG15.com's Community Appreciation Week today, which is why I'm choosing to include it here: Congrats Loretta!)
Nessy and Cassie are part of the Hymn of One, and Nessy says that Bree and Cassie stopped talking after she found Drew Avery's trait negative research. Cassie then slipped into odd sleeping patterns and became extremely moody and depressed after her parents' deaths.
Nessy began posting videos in late December of 2007. At the time, she wasn't aware that Bree had perished, and later posted a video expressing her sadness upon hearing about it.
On January 2, 2008 Nessy entered #Hymnofone chat and answered questions and discussing ways to help Cassie come out of her depression. (see Messynessy89 chat 01/02 full). Nessy then decided to follow her sister the next day. Cassie caught her and took her footage, and, strangely, gave it back to her edited so it could be posted on Youtube.
The edits in the video were clues that led to a blogspot page in the name of a Dr. Hughbert Windham. He posted a blog on the same day Nessy posted her first video saying
"Yesterday we asked you to check out the various websites in the LG15 Universe and look for any changes or updates. Nick found a press release on the Verdus website from August 6, 2008, which reveals that Verdus has filed suit against one of its former divisions. Everyone’s favorite “pharma guy” even provides a quote.
VERDUS PHARMACEUTICALS FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST FORMER DIVISION
For Immediate Release
August 6 2008. – Los Angeles, CA – Verdus Pharmaceuticals has filed suit against LifesBlood LLC, a former “experimental” sub-division of its research and development department. Verdus is charging LBL with copyright infringement and corporate espionage for a substantial, but undisclosed sum.
Verdus co-chair Ted McKinley alleges that Dr. Leonard J. Alderman, along with several other LBL employees, have stolen several unique patents to claim as their own, when in fact they were developed by the former parent company.
“It deeply saddens me a respected colleague such as Len would stoop so low as to make off with our combined efforts,” McKinley said. Verdus believes LifesBlood LLC has plans to market future “life enhancement” drugs and technologies for the sole purpose of obtaining a greater, more insulated profit.
Earlier today, McKinley stated: “What Alderman and his staff fail to realize is that what we do here at Verdus – what we’ve always done – has nothing to do with money. It is about enriching and expanding the lives of people across the world.”
Verdus’s suit demands records of all correspondence, email, or other communications between Alderman and his staff, and asks the court to order LBL to immediately process the documents for release.
CORPORATE INFORMATION
Verdus is a leading pharmaceutical company dedicated to making healthier people on a healthier planet. It was born in 1984 after philanthropist Thomas Verdus returned from a year long trek around the globe. After witnessing poor living standards in multiple third world countries, Verdus used his wealth to accrue a team of the nation’s foremost scientists and doctors. These talented individuals combined to realize Verdus’s noble intention of rectifying a world mired in various health crises. The company’s recent partnerships with smaller initiatives, such as the Lullaby Project and Wyman Foundation, have led to significant advances in the fields of pre-natal care and neurobiology. In 2007, Verdus’s “Live Longer and Stronger” research group, spearheaded by life extension researcher Dr. Calvin Hart, earned the company accolades from medical communities around the globe.
NOTE: How do you steal a patent? If you have a patent, the owner is the owner. You can not "steal" it. Inventions might be stolen before being patented, or infringed after they are patented, but the language used by Ted is technically confused at best.
