The Return of the Community Content Discussion

The LGPedia has been suffering a fate worse than death lately - the lack of contributors. We're not sure why, exactly, people have been staying away: Is it through some fault of the series', or is it due to views about how we handle content and contributors; or could it be that the community as a whole is just waning? Whatever the reason, we do know one thing: we want you back.

Back in 2008, it was suggested to revamp the entire community content area, which is overrun with unkempt pages and confusing descriptions. However, the execution was lacking, being most concerned with locking down those pages most unclean, and seemingly not giving much thought to content that was not only deserving of coverage on the Pedia, but was vastly popular within the community. This execution understandably was met with severe displeasure in the community, as it appeared as though we were attempting to prohibit all community content from being covered.

The discussions regarding this initial idea have long since died, but problems created from their existence still plague the Pedia: we have articles that lack proper content, and not enough users to give them the attention they need and deserve.

Today, the discussion was renewed. However, this time, you - the content creators - are foremost in our thoughts for the revamp. We would like to encourage you to expand your series into the Pedia, and that is what this what this suggestion is about. We hope that you can contribute to the new discussion, and help make the Pedia the place the community can be proud of once again.
