Jason Matthews (born July 9, 1981) is an American playwright and blogger.
He is currently the Writer-in-Residence at the Ruskin Group Theatre in Santa Monica, CA, where through their showcase “Café Plays”, Jason has written and produced more than thirty one-act plays. His play 'Beneath Her Feet', recently concluded a successful three week run in North Hollywood, CA, through the Above The Curve Theatre Company.

His debut full-length play 'Four Night Stand' will premiere at the Ruskin Group Theatre in January, 2010.
As a blogger, his humor website www.TheJay.com was nominated for two Best Culture Blogs (2006-7) for the Weblog Awards. Jason has since stopped posting new content.

In addition to his work online and in theatre, Jason was the host of internet radio show 'PopLoad' on NowLive.com from January - May 2007, and was the Editor-in-Chief of the popular Santa Barbara-based arts magazine CampusPOINT from June 2000 - June 2002.

Jason a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara (class of 2003), and currently resides in the San Fernando Valley.
