The Web.Files #13 - Showbizzle
On the newest episode of the Web.Files the lovely and talented Kristyn Burtt interviews producer Charles Rosin (the first Beverly Hills: 90210) and his daughter Lindsey Rosin creator of the web series, Showbizzle, a series that tells an unfolding story through a series of short monologues. In addition to the series itself, the show’s website features numerous behind the scenes features and videos designed to showcase talent and allow fans to interact with each other and the characters.
Showbizzle is a series about young attractive people trying to make it in Hollywood… it’s like they wrote it just for me. While the series seems like it would only appeal to waiters in LA, there is a certain voyeuristic pleasure derived from dropping in and out of these people’s lives. Fans of such self-obsessed series as The Hills or The City will instantly identify the characters. One caveat, the ADR by Lindsey Rosin is very distracting during the actor's monologues, and honestly, adds nothing to the performance.
Fa shizzle my showbizzle. :)
