But one prominent theory about the origins of life, called the RNA World model, postulates that because RNA can function as both a gene and an enzyme, RNA might have come before DNA and protein and acted as the ancestral molecule of life.

Re: Anchor Cove Goes to the Big Easy

I just had the BEST BIRTHDAY EVAR. I just spent 6 hours with Jenni, Apo, and my darling and patient husband, wandering around the Big Easy, good times were had and are probably still being had.
We ate at the St. Charles Tavern, which is gritty and REAL and also serves excellent redfish, which Apo and Jenni and I partook of, while Tim had some great crab cakes w/pasta. We called Greystoke and Betz--LG422 appears to be waist-deep in FAIL at his place of employment tonight. Betz is driving down early tomorrow AM. We ate and ate and drank a lot of Guinness. Then we drifted off down St. Charles Ave. in search of karaoke. At one point we were wandering along the trolley tracks in the middle of the street like a bunch of homeless bums. Jenni and I found some beads and put them on. We waited a long time at Lee Circle for the streetcar to come along, which it finally did. We rode down to Bourbon Street, got off, and found a great karaoke bar in the first block off Canal Street. There we stayed.
The club has an excellent MC, the drinks are pretty watery but Apo had a little talk with the bartender and ours got better.
Set list: Jenni, "Don't Stop Believin'"; Apo, "Family Affair"; Me, "Stand By Your Man"'; all three of us, "Love Shack"; Jenni, "Baby Got Back" (EPIC) and "I Touch Myself".
Tim and I left at 1 AM and took a taxi home. Jenni and Apo are still there as far as I know, waiting for LG422 to show. I haven't had so much fun in ages. Much footage was shot, some of it will see the light of day soon.

On Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, Antiwar activists dressed all in black, with white death masks, paraded in a steady rain and in single file, past the U.S. Supreme Court, and around the U.S. Capitol, in Washington, D.C., as the new 111th Congress convened inside. The "March of the Dead" participants wore around their necks the names of those killed in conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and Israeli Occupied Gaza. The U.S. Congress has repeatedly voted hundreds of billions of dollars to support those two wars. Check out: http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar_home. In addition, Congress continues to subsidize, to the tune of billions of taxpayers dollar a year, the state of Zionist Israel. See, http://www.wrmea.com/. From: http://abandonskies23.blogspot.com/2009/01/it-could-be-better-than-this.html
It could be better than this.
Brainstorming.
A challenging task I have yet to accomplish.
I'm feeling rather sick today and the weather doesn't seem to be helping much. The rain may have stopped, but the sun is hidden behind the gray clouds of yet another storm that will follow me, as it seems, to my next destination. If you can't tell already, I'm very frustrated and my heart is hindered on sorrow.
I twittered like hell last night. Mostly from texts, and when I did get a chance to log on to the web, I did find that more people cared than I thought.
The days are counting down on my life. I have yet to tell any of you the secret I've been holding since I started video blogging. I guess I'll save it for my next post considering I'd rather be woman enough to say it to your faces than just to type it out in an attempt to be small minded.
Everything from the past always comes back to haunt me. Every element that I've found to be more than practical about The Order, just wasn't, therefore they would no longer stand, in my eyes, as a god.
The stranger the occurrences of my parents play into my mind, I fear, my death will be painful and of no purpose to anyone other than the enemy. Both eventless and effortless, but I gave everything up for this life. Now I'm giving up fighting, giving up thinking that there was ever someone who would rescue me -- for a change.

The title is just saying exactly what this video is about.
Skylar is royally pissed off at YouTube for fixing the glitch that many non-partner accounts used to "promote" more people to watch their videos by basically forcing them to everytime they visted their channel page.
As of today, that feauture is no longer possible. Maybe the glitch will occur again, but its doubtful.
If anyone else beleives that YouTube should have auto-play to normal channels, leave a comment.

On January 9, 2008 (which just happens to be my birthday!), a number of Anchor Cove denizens will meet in New Orleans for a two-day festival of eating, drinking, and general mayhem and merriment, all of which will undoubtedly be filmed by one or many of the participants, and posted in the appropriate venues once the auteurs have recovered from their (probable) epic hangovers.
Contact me by PM here at the Cove for more information, if you're interested in getting together with us for part or all of the weekend.

Glenn, live on BreeFM @11pm EST, Wednesday.
Glenn has had a cold.
Glenn got a ShamWOW because he loved the commercial and it totally works. Now Vince is pushing a new "vegimatic" called the Slapchop. Glenn likes how Vince manages to sell things "with contempt". Glenn got some great Marvel Comic stuff.
A lot of people speculated that lonelygirl15 might have been a viral marketing ploy for the remake of the Wickerman. It is a terrible movie. You will watch it and then get bored. Then you will find yourself yelling at the screen. Then the last half hour it seems to lift you up to the heavens. Nicholas Cage is running around in a bear suit and punches a woman in the face. It is just that absurd. You need to see it!
Glenn watched "The Wrestler". Nicholas Cage was originally signed on for the lead role! During the awards season screener copies are sent out on DVD. It is a great time of year if you have connections. They are full DVD copies. You have all heard the hype but it is easily one of the best movies Glenn has seen in the last 10 years. Mickey Rourke really brings it. The characters seem so real you feel like you are watching a slice of life. Marisa Tomei plays a stripper. Glenn would be shocked if Mickey Rourke does not win best actor.
Glenn premiered a brand new mash-up. It is kind of fun:
23:54:41 The Go-Go's vs Lil Wayne - We Got The Money (Glen: Mash-Up) [Extended Outro]
Tonights mix:
00:37:32 Glenn - 01-07-09 Mix-Up - Live and In Progress on BreeFM
Here is the archive of of stories from LG15 TODAY concerning Glenn's radio show on BreeFM.

I've been living the same routine every single day of my life. I wake up, and my life revolves around the future. Today, that is different. I know exactly what I'm going to do, how I'm going to do, and why it's going to take me so long.
Though the bed I slept in last night was no Sealy Posturepedic, I have other problems on my mind like how much more my face is going to hurt considering the struggle a day or so ago with a watcher.
I consider myself one of the tougher girls out there, honestly, and it seems Lucy can't handle me herself, so she sends steroid engaged men after me who trip over themselves and nearly kill me with their car. Exciting.
One excellent point about today is that right at this VERY moment -- it's not raining. The ground is very mushy where there is no pavement, and I'm surprised even by the fact that I am no longer in California.
I'll be Twittering all day from texts since I probably won't stop off again until i get to Texas. Maybe I'll see Taylor. Just kidding. Probably not. Zavala is more near Sedona, AZ than I am to Canada.

Peace of mine.
It's raining outside these windows. Unbelievably, I'm parked on a busy highway to post this. I figured that I would go ahead and say something before I got to into driving later.
Seriously. I have a driving issue.
It's been chilly lately for some reason. These are the days when you wish you had someone. Someone of no distraction to notice the little things that make you unique. Like how I remember him, like yesterday, like nothing ever existed except us.
Logically, and more so, it would be irrelevant to know that I'm being followed. Nothing unusual, huh? Well not exactly. I have reason to believe it may be someone else. Someone not associated with The Order, but not quiet the Resistance.
Maybe it's just me talking dumb. I always get these senses. Now that I'm leaving behind my home, it's natural for me to feel unsafe. It's what I've known.

Two years ago today, on January 5, 2007, Bree posted My Dad Said....
She actually reveals very little of what her dad said, except that her parents were not her biological parents, and implies that her mom is bad news. The video is notable among lonelygirl15 videos discussing death, for its realism and depth of delivery.

It's been awhile.
And no, I don't mean the song.
Literally, it's been a few weeks since I've posted a blog, and quiet frankly I know my readers have been waiting in anticipation.
I'm using Twitter more than anything now. (Mostly because I don't have to write an entire paragraph or two to call it a blog.)
If you guys want to follow my tweets, I'll follow you back. My link is http://www.twitter.com/skylarbleu.
As for me? I'm headed east. I can't wait for excuses or for Lucy's minions to come and strangle me like they nearly did earlier today. Finding myself is going to take far more work than hiding from something I know I can't fight alone.
If any of you care, what I really hope to find are some sort of records, documents, or photos of my real parents. I miss them even though we've never met. Strange, huh? There's been this longing inside of me ever since I found out the truth -- that I was trait-positive.
I hope I succeed in finding the cure to help other girls before their lives are ruined. It's too late for me, of course. There is no hope left to save me, but even if I save one life, I wouldn't have died in vein if that is my true destiny.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who subscribed to one of RutEarth’s sister channels or to Rutka herself, I promise you’re in for an adventure. Thank you so much for taking the time to click that yellow button, a small act that is greatly appreciated.
RUTEARTH29 stars the lovely and talented Christa Castle as Rutka and Alex Arthurs as Chane, both have has to put up with my antics for far too long and deserve lots of money! Too bad I’m broke...
I’d also like to thank my whole cast and crew: without you guys I seriously would be pulling my hair out! MicFranXon who has graced me with his talent by producing 8BESIDE8’s sole video, his skill is very apparent and can be seen in his series 3rd Triad : http://www.youtube.com/3rdTriad and the series on which RutEarth is based: RedEarth88. Also, special thanks to SheetzJunkie who created 8Beside8’s masterpiece mashup. Her talent can also be showcased in her series Fallen Angel: http://www.youtube.com/SmythesFallenAngel.
Also, thanks to Bryan Rushford and Kelsea Dicks, my productions assistants, for saving me grief, I seriously don’t know what I would have done without you. It takes a lot of work to look so cheap! =P
A very special thanks to my friends (you know who you are) for pushing me along, you are the wind beneath my wings...so to speak. Oh! Speaking of which, thanks to Glenn Rubenstein for giving me his blessing. You all rock!
Enjoy The Show, <3:

Characters: Anyone
Time/Place: Monday, Gina's House
Ananda sat on the bed, facing the window. To say she stared out the window would be inacurate; she wasn't looking at anything, inside or out. Her sights had turned inward, but her eyes were open. She didn't think. Thinking required her to remember. Her mind couldn't handle anything so complex right now. It had been two days since she found out that everything she knew was a lie: her religion, her family, her past...it was all false. She wasn't even sure she knew who she was anymore. Bombarded with so many devastating revelations at once, her mind had withdrawn in self-defense, refusing to process anything much more. So she sat, facing the window.
