‘MacAwesome’: A Semi-Random Love Story
by Jenni Powell
I suppose the best way to sum up the series would be: it’s a classic tale told with unclassic characters.

Part game, part theater, and part tour, Accomplice productions are unlike anything found in a theater, sending its audience on an actual journey through the streets of the city. Armed with a few initial bits of information, participants are sent on a mission, aided by clues and mysterious cast members strewn throughout various locations such as streetcorners, bars, out of the way shops, and seedy alleys. Audiences in groups of up to 10 traverse the city streets, piecing together clues of a meticulously crafted plot.

Three years ago today, on November 7, 2006, the Lonelygirl15 video On The Run was posted:
This video has been cited by the Creators as being thought of internally as the end of what they considered Season 1, though the concept of "seasons" wasn't used publicly until mid-2007 (and thus what is now officially called "Season 1" is actually 14 months long and 256 videos). The concept of Bree leaving home and being "On the run" was as far as the Creators originally sketched out lonelygirl15 when they started.

Two years ago today, on November 7, 2007, the lonelygirl15 video Sick Dreams was posted.
This vlog from Emma while she was is hiding is a bit strange because it is full of editing tricks. It had very mixed reviews when it was released. People were still missing Bree greatly at this point, and Emma's character was struggling to establish itself in the vacuum left in Bree's absence.

Venus Spa Announces Season Finale!
After 10 weeks of dedication, training and a whole lot of Atari2600 goodness, Andrea will finally take on Nancy in a no holds barred aerobic battle! Chad Media’s most popular web series Venus Spa is proud to announce their Season Finale; The Venus 4X4!
The Venus 4X4 will run from November 19-22 with a new episode dropping each day on the Venus Spa channel on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watchvenusspa
Venus Spa has attracted a steadily growing legion of fans throughout the series’ run with over 100,000 total views on Youtube. Fans of the series have embraced Venus’ bevy of beautiful cast members as well as the off beat humour mixed with the big haired, acid washed energy of the 1980’s.

Emanating from the beautiful McCalla janitorial supply store in Van Nuys, California, episode 18 of The Web.Files features an interview with Jeremy Redleaf, creator of the web series Odd Jobs and its companion website, Odd Job Nation. Redleaf created Odd Job Nation, which lists various odd jobs available across the country, as a companion for the series; however, it quickly gained more media attention than the series. Jobs on the site range from art models (18+, some nudity) to ride-sharing and house cleaning. Also, Redleaf recently won the 15 Gigs of Fame Award at the 2009 NYTV Fest, making him one of the people to watch in the web series world.
Odd Jobs centers on Nate, a recently unemployed investment banker, who unable to find gainful employment or pay for his upcoming wedding, begins to tag along with his roommate, Joe, who supports himself doing various wacky odd jobs found on Craigslist. Nate must also keep his financial situation secret from his girlfriend, who is out-of-his-league even with a high paying job. Odd Jobs is aimed at a more adult audience and therefore, may not be suitable for all audiences or viewing situations. Viewer discretion is advised.

Late Friday night I received a call from a local authority about a den of vampires hiding out two miles south of Bartlett lake in Arizona. When I arrived I found blood droppings and pieces of human flesh scattered about near the remains of a day old camp fire. I jumped back into the jeep and decided to venture off road down a winding trail. For whatever reason it seems vampires avoid city streets to and from their gatherings. Sam was with me. About three miles in a loud cry of feeding coyotes echoed down the path. Then suddenly silence filled the air. Ever hear nothing? Nothing at all? That's usually when a vampire is close by. I told Sam to start filming. This is what we found...

According to series co-creator Ryan Copple, the costs of producing Riese (which was produced in Vancouver, B.C.) were “as much as was spent on [web series touchstone] Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” This, according to a recent Forbes profile, would mean that the budget was approximately $200,000, part of which came from private investors and part of which was supplied by Copple himself.
