Bunny Hug is a web-series about Travis and Celeste, two former lovers forced to live together after breaking up because of a bad economy and their own self-righteous indignation. It's a comedy.
Written on a dare by Jason Filiatrault and directed by Grant Harvey (Ginger Snaps Back, TV's Whistler), Bunny Hug is a sincere and heartfelt attempt to combine the comedy of funny things, with the situation of being human — this new breed of entertainment (what we’re calling “the sit-com”) is specifically designed to deliver as many laughs as possible, while also being a somewhat decent story.
Filmed on the cutting-edge RED HD format on a shoe-string budget in Calgary, Alberta Canada - Bunny Hug is the culmination of dozens of hard working people's efforts to create something pure, and funny, and to escape the soul-crushing foot of corporate entertainment.
Recently, Bunny Hug was nominated for 3 awards from the Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association (AMPIA) including BEST SHORT and BEST ACTOR - and won the award for BEST SCREENWRITER (Drama, under 30min.) Bunny Hug is also a top 25 finalist for significant new-media funding from the Independent Producers Fund of Canada.
Starring Michelle Morgan (CBC TV's Heartland, Diary of the Dead, Stargate Atlantis) and Christopher Austman as Celeste and Travis, Bunny Hug will be the very best puppet-introduced web-series that you watch this week. Guaranteed.
