Web Series Today: Become an "Author"
Web Series Today is a "collaborative community based blog" about "web series" What that means is that members of the web series community can become "authors" and post videos, articles about web series, or links to information/news about web series and related topics such as ARGs or "Transmedia".
By creating an open platform for posting videos and web series news chronologically Web Series Today aims to fill the role of keeping the community up to date with what is going on on a daily basis. Show creators, cast, crew, or even fans and "critics" are all eligible to participate because they are in the best position to know what is going on with a particular series.
"Authors" on the blog can post about any series they enjoy and believe that the readership of Web Series Today would also enjoy. It is important to understand the culture, format and open philosophy of Web Series Today before becoming a participant, so if interested, take the time to read the blog daily. For example an author might want to just introduce readers to a series that they think might be of interest or the author might choose to post videos from a series on a regular basis as they are released. Authors are fully responsible for anything they post and answer directly to the web series community.

[email protected]. Use the subject title: "Author request" and explain briefly how you are involved in the web series community.
Blogger only allows a restricted number of authors so it is important that those who do decide to participate contribute on a regular basis to the shared goal of keeping the community up to date with what is going on in the web series World.

Yea, the idea since the blog began was to have an open platform. This includes everyone from those who create shows, to those who watch them, comment on them, and interact with them in any way. We are all one community and it takes everyone to collaborate together to keep the community up to date with what is going on.

Complications arise when Max meets and falls in love with fashionista Suzie who visits her Aunt Pauline in the same building. In our latest episode, Pink Slip - Part 6 - Juggling, Suzie (Kaitlin Snyder) decides to take Max (Michael Adam Hamilton) to meet Aunt Florrie (also Michale Adam Hamilton), so Max/AuntFlorrie and best pal Joey/Lullabelle/Gertrude must do some fancy juggling to keep their ruse up. Oh, Lonelyfish Tachyfin and modelmotion is this the blog you are speaking of? Oh forgive me please for taking sooo long to get back to you on this...been soooo busy up to my earlobes in work and fun related to work and pre/production/post and breaking my knee on set after a light went out in the room leaving us in total darkness...but worry not...it's just a micro fracture so it should heal if I stay off my feet and offline for awhile...sitting at the computer is the opposite of what I'm supposed to be doing...like icing my knee but I promise to check in and please tell Tachyfin thank you for watching. DeleteThis looks more like Dark Vampire Magick than the work of Witches. Witches are NOT that dark. They are healers, but people will do what they will to sell something! too dark for me.

modelmotion, I resubmitted on sept 1 per our request and haven't heard anything? Could be that you are totally busy which I completely understand, or could be that gmail just doesn't like one of us - I would understand that too - do you accept smoke signals, carrier pigeon or some other form of submission requests?

DeleteOk, found it. Yes it did go into spam for some reason. Thats not good! So yea, we will need to see if that has happened to any other authors. Thanks for pointing our the problem.
DeleteBut once again, WST is an open platform. It is important that everyone understands that, so please help spread the word.
We currently have hit the max Blogger limit of 100 authors. We will be cleaning up the list in the next few days to remove inactive authors. Once that is complete you will be added. In the mean time you may ask any existing author if they can submit an article for you.

ReplyDeleteBreaking and Entering TV, thanks for the compliment. As you can see, it is now sept. 7 and still nothing from WST. Maybe it's my cologne? Either way, I will assume our show is not worthy enough for WST, we would have like to have been part of the community. Oh well, being a creative sort, rejection is part of the job description. For all of you lucky enough to have made the WST cut, I wish you the best of luck with your shows - much success to all of you!
DeleteJohnny Dynamo: anyone who has been around Web Series Today for any length of time should know that is just not how WST works. WST is an open platform and anyone who is a member of the community is invited to participate. We do NOT pick and choose. Being open is in our DNA.

But please note that you, as with any Web series creator is welcome, and appreciated. There are always tech issues to overcome, but that is where we need to work together.

Web series come in many forms. Any member of the community is welcome to sign up and post any Web series that they think the community will enjoy. This includes narrative Web series, Web shows, community videos and Web news. In terms of Tim, he provides a series of news articles. His self stated position is slightly left of center so there is zero evidence to support your claim.
