For the past few days speculation about what happened to Getcookin with Paula Deen, which was hosted on Eqal's Umbrella software, has been growing. The answer seems to be a simple name change for the umbrella site.
Original site: http://getcookin.pauladeen.com/
Before going "dark" Paula Deen posted on Feb 3, 2010:
" Many of you have been wondering why I haven't made any new dishes on Get Cookin' this year. We're not stopping, we've just been busy with some new projects that you will love! We are working on exciting new content for the website, and I promise to share it with you next month."Discussion on Anchor Cove: http://forum.anchorcove.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2275&p=18444#p18442

Born of Hope is an independent feature film inspired by the Lord of the Rings and produced by Actors at Work Productions in the UK.
www.bornofhope.com
This film should soon be also on it's proper Youtube channels, ActorsatWork & BornofHope. Check them out for more videos regarding the film. Thanks to Chris Bouchard and the H4G team for putting the film here until Youtube upgrade our channels.
A scattered people, the descendents of storied sea kings of the ancient West, struggle to survive in a lonely wilderness as a dark force relentlessly bends its will toward their destruction. Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son.
This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history.

As time has progressed, however, implementing those features of Gears into a standard like HTML5 makes more sense, as it will ultimately work on more platforms and not require the operating system or browser specific workarounds that Gears currently employs.

voicemail for shentek
femaleprodigy said...
I called the voicemail again last night. I left a msg to call me back and that I had a few questions for them. I then called it this morning and pressed the # key to get more options. There is an option to press 4 to enter your lasermail security code (http://www.laservoicemail.com/signup2.html obviously they use this service for their voicemail). I tried some numbers from the "number puzzle" with no luck but maybe this is what the numbers are for. Maybe its not a word puzzle like we keep trying to figure out.
If anyone else tries calling the number, you can get to the security code option when the french starts by pressing *
the number for those who do not have it is 206-279-0816

This week’s episode of The Web.Files is all about Epic Fu, which is not a new martial arts disciple created by the world’s deadliest man, George Ruiz, but rather a long-running webseries created by Steve Woolf and Zadi Diaz. The epic duo discussed the show’s long history, the recent re-launch and their highly involved and supportive community. Furthermore, they announced that they have been working on creating an Epic Fu blog network, which will allow them to have daily content in addition to the regular video series.
Epic Fu, originally titled JetSet, launched in 2006. In 2007, the show joined Next New Networks and subsequently changed its name to the more distinctive Epic Fu. In 2008, the series made news when it jumped from Next New Networks to Revision3 Studios, which was notable in that it was the first high profile series to switch networks, a switch that lasted only six months due to cost-cutting measures by Revision3. This January, Epic Fu re-launched with a new site and a new focus on covering emerging culture.

Do you want to start making videos with me? Well now you can! Some people suggested to me how "up" my ratings would get if I put another GIRL on the show. So now I'm holding tryout's to see who I think has what it takes. :) Requirements: You must be a girl. You must be between the ages of 13-19. You must live close to me. (how are we suppose to make videos when you don't live in California!?) Have fun with it! The auditions will end in about 3 weeks or more. Please emai your audition tape to the following address: [email protected] DO NOT MAKE A VIDEO RESPONSE. Your video must be emailed to the one I gave you or your video will not be looked at. Thank you!

I have the ultimate solution to this problem: each web series nominated should select a representative who will fight in a battle royale. Last one left alive wins.

Bumps in the Night, the premiere web show about ghost hunting in North Hollywood, returns for its second season! The NOGHOST team moves into a new apartment, but Greg is acting strange(r than usual). Emmett races against time to figure out if his friend is possessed by the dead, fitness-crazed former occupant, and John just wants a good night's sleep. With an ending more shocking than you can imagine!

Organizing for America, the successor organization to the Obama campaign committee is seeking a new ‘social media manager’ to overlook the President’s MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. According to the official job description, a successful applicant must be willing to work hard, possess excellent writing and editing skills, and be willing to relocate to Washington D.C. The new social media manager will have a busy schedule keeping up with Obama’s 7.5 million Facebook fans and 3.3 million Twitter followers. The starting salary for the position is not specified; however, the current job holder, Mia Cambronero, is expected to step down at the end of the month, so they are looking for someone to take over immediately as Obama’s twitterer.

Stanley Kubrick once said, “A film is – or should be – more like music than like fiction. It should be a progression of moods and feelings. The theme, what’s behind the emotion, the meaning, all that comes later.”

Streaming series are playing an increasingly important role in the web TV space as evidenced by the sheer number of shows that are popping up across the Internet catering to a wide and diverse audience. Many of the drawbacks, spotty picture performance, buffering, and bad audio have been largely mitigated with new technology and the pervasiveness of broadband while the major upside, direct audience interaction remains. Tonight there are a number of live shows airing, which feature various web TV personalities.
At 10 Eastern, 7 Pacific, the lovely and talented Taryn Southern will be hosting her weekly chat show. This weeks guest is actor Robert Adamson, who previously worked with Taryn on Private High School Musical and also starred in the Disney movie, The Princess Protection Program with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. However, be aware, the show might be canceled if Taryn Southern is unable to get out of jury duty. Taryn Live airs every Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern on Ustream.
Also, at 10 o’clock, Goodnight Burbank creator and Twitter raconteur, Hayden Black will be a guest on Film Snobbery Live along with writer/director Julio DePietro. Having never seen the show, I do not know much about it; however, judging by the title, it should be a good fit for Hayden Black. Aside from possessing a sardonic wit, Hayden is British, so snobbery is within his milieu. Film Snobbery Live, hosted by Nic Baisley, airs every Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern on Livestream.
Lastly, at 11 Eastern, 8 Pacific, Mark Gantt and Jesse Warren from The Bannen Way will be on The Fangirl’s Guide. For those who have never seen The Fangirl’s Guide, host Cricket Lee is rather cheeky so this could potentially be a good interview. Also, while I personally don’t see it, I’ve been told that Mark is quite sexy so for the ladies out there who are into the good-looking rakish types, it might be worth watching just for the eye candy. The show starts at 11 PM Eastern on Justin.tv.

Three Years Ago Today
Three years ago today, on February 16, 2007, modelmotion made the first post ever on LG15Today.
Welcome to LG15 TODAY
This is a bit of an experiment.
Try writing a short story…..lets say a summary of what you have been following today on LG15.
Then E-mail it to: [email protected]
The story should appear at http://lg15today.blogspot.com/
This might not be the best way to go about LG 15 TODAY………but its just a trial to see how well it would work.

Mason's being obnoxiously strict about letting me film things, now. Apparently I'm not allowed to hold a camera until his 'plan' kicks into effect, because I'll '...probably post it online and lead them right to us.' Still trying to figure out exactly who 'they' are, but Mason isn't talking.

In a recent post regarding problems with the Eqal Umbrella update it was noted that LGPedia on LG15.com had a problem. That problem has still not been fixed and fans are beginning to ask how long it will take Eqal to solve this relatively simple problem.
When first reported Miles Beckett, CEO of Eqal, Inc. commented that "It's something we need to get to, but unfortunately we haven't had time and since it doesn't affect functionality of the LGPedia it keeps getting bumped. We'll get to it eventually".
