    labels and tags are the same thing?

    If not, where do the tags go.

    Yes.

    The labels create a category specific to your series:

    http://www.webseriestoday.com/search/label/Legends%20of%20Atoll

    For this reason it is not a good idea to use tag/labels for series/shows by other creators because they will get all mixed up in the category link and confuse readers/viewers.
