One of the keys in the Lonelygirl15 community was the community itself. We learned to welcome in each new member and make them feel "comfortable". Hence the "meep" was born. All too often communities over time build "insider groups" that can ignore "outsiders" or new comers. This is the worst thing you can do. Keeping a community open is vital to its future growth and new members are its life blood.
