That's what happens when people come in from TV and expect to change the space to be like TV. They need to look at the evolution of the space prior to the writers' strike invasion of 2008 and and appreciate the history of web content in the space.

The first thing they teach you in film school is to learn the history of filmmaking and to watch as many classic movies, (or at least the best ones of your genres of choice,) to get a feel for how they crafted them. The same is true with TV, theatre and the web. The Youtubers learned a LOT from LG15 and anyone else who makes shows that cater to the web should too. The Breeniverse broke new ground and showed the world, (an ungeoblocked worked btw,) what you can do online. That's a level of influence that may never be touched in this medium.
