A Very European Christmas
A VERY EUROPEAN CHRISTMAS
An ensemble comedy inspired by the European crisis – ‘A Very European Christmas’ – tells the story of the unhappily married Germaine and Greco. She’s German. He’s Greek. Will they and their friends make it through the season of goodwill?
This episode follows ‘A Very European Break Up’, which has been watched well over 300,000 times online since its launch in late September and has featured on national TV news in Germany, Greece and the Netherlands.
‘A Very European Christmas’ takes the story a step further as the troubled lovers must celebrate Christmas with the rest of the Community at the Country Club. Among those we meet are a sensual Spaniard, a stuck-up Frenchman and a self-serving Brit. The Club also includes a Dutchman, a Belgian, a Finn, an Irishman, an Italian and a Portuguese. Casting a shadow over events is a fitness-obsessed American.

Really funny if you understand each person is a country... Greece, Germany, Spain & GB. Full of references to EU.
ReplyDeleteSequel A very european Christmas has too many characters and obscure references i don't get. Original video easier to understand. German's parents split up and got together again... Greek's father very strict... German mother's marriage vows... batteries...clock. A very European Song should be a hit everywhere... so clever having British opt out!
