Web Series Today: Welcome to new "authors"!
We recently sent out a new batch of "author invites", so if you were on the "wait list" you should have received one by now. Check your in-box for an "author invite" and a welcome e-mail.
The wait time was a bit longer than usual this time in part because of technical difficulties, but also because of demand. You can help here by remembering that this is a community blog, so if another community member needs something posted, an "author" should try and help them out as much as possible. Always remember that our key mission is to keep the community up to date with what is going on in the Web series World.
The process of adding new "authors" is always a bitter sweet one because the first step we have to do is remove authors who have not contributed in the past 30 days, or more. This is because the Blogger platform only allows 100 "authors", so we have to make way for new "authors". It is therefore important that if you wish to keep your "author" position you contribute on a regular basis.
On the other hand we hope that "authors" who no longer post articles will stick around as readers. We also encourage everyone to take advantage of our new Web Series Today Google+ Community page. Anyone from the community can join, so its a good place to hang out and contribute if you do not want to make the commitment of becoming a regular "author".
Make sure you follow the directions very carefully. Note that because of high demand the "author invites" expire after a few days, so you should check your e-mail and accept the invite, as soon as possible.
If you let the invite expire you will have to re-apply. If you cannot find the invite in your e-mail in-box, you should check your junk mail/spam folder.
If you were sent an invite in a previous "batch" those have all expired, so if you still wish to become an "author" you should re-apply by following the instruction link on the top right of Web Series Today.
If you desire to begin posting in the near future then you should apply as soon as possible because it can take time before an "author spot" opens up.

One thing to remember is that it is a good idea to pay attention to all the posts on Web Series Today. Our readers are much more likely to take you seriously if you show an interest in the work of others. The best way to do this is leave comments, give feedback, etc. Remember, this is a community blog, so by being "social" you help not only build interest in your own show (if you create one), but you increase the viability of all shows on the blog.

Oh, and do not forget to feed Tachyfin.
ReplyDeleteTachy swims in a little pool on the right of the blog. You will find Tachy's food shaker on the left of the pond. Take the shaker and feed Tachy on a regular basis.
Also, remember to "like" Tachyfin's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/Tachyfin
Thank you kindly to Web Series Today for allowing us to be apart of the community blog. We hope to build and maintain relationships throughout this journey. Best wishes to all!
